Justdial,
Quikr and Olx are the top three classifieds websites in India. Amongst them Justdial was
established by VSS Mani who serves as the Managing Director and Chief Executive
Officer of the company and launched 20 years ago on 16 February 1996 having the
headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra. It provides pan-India search services i.e.
a large classifieds service where users can call a common number to request a
human operator what products or services they are looking for and then the available,
listed businesses are communicated to the users by Email, mobile or SMS.
Another one amongst the
top three classifieds websites in India is Olx.
It was founded by Alec Oxenford in March 2006 having headquartered in New York
City, New York, United States. Olx
is known as the next generation of free online classifieds as it offers free
local classifieds ads in India.
Quikr
which
is also one amongst the top three classifieds websites in India was launched in
2008 by Pranay Chulet and Jiby Thomos having headquartered in Mumbai. It is
India’s leading cross-category classifieds platform, which provide services
like, buy or sell apartments, used cars, bikes. Fin jobs, home services, repair
electronic etc.
Now, among the above top
three, Olx and Quikr has the main
focus on buy and sell. Whereas, the main focus of justdial is on listing of
business. Olx and Quikr are free
classifieds whereas; Justdial is paid
& free listings.
As per my view it is very
difficult to show our ads on the top listings in justdial without paying them the charges for it. We never get
clients from justdial unless we pay
to them. Recently, I have got very bad experience of this. We call and ask
about any service they will send our contact of only those advertisers who have
paid them. Along with this, their charges are high and the service is also not
good as compare to the Olx and Quikr
which are totally free and having good service. Justdial have to lower down their rates and also, they have to
improve their service to be in competition and if want to verge over the other
two in market.
Right now, Justdial is among the top three
classifieds websites in India along with Olx
and Quikr but, I personally feel
that, if justdial does not improve
its service and doesn’t lower its charges then, very soon it will have to face
tough competition from Olx and Quikr
and who knows may be can go out of the competition also.
So, I think, it’s a time for Justdial to re-emerge in terms of
customer friendly ways so that they can remain their top position.
